Founded in 1962, the École Française Internationale de Berne (EFIB) supports students from preschool through middle school in an international and supportive environment, within a close-knit educational community.

Accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and affiliated with the AEFE, the school is also authorized by the Department of Public Education (DIP) of the Canton of Bern. It offers a structured educational program that fosters the academic, linguistic, and personal development of each student.

EFIB is a nonprofit organization supported by the French Embassy and managed by a committee of volunteer parents who are committed to providing a high-quality, sustainable, and inclusive education.

EFIB Students' Success in the School Competition

EFIB students studying German and English recently took part in the School Contest organized with the support of Hachette Éducation… and performed brilliantly!

3,200 CHF was raised to help fund the DIGGER D250, which will be sent to Ukraine.

The French International School of Bern (EFIB) has joined forces with the charity initiative organized by French-speaking schools in the Canton of Bern. The entire school community has come together to support various activities, including a charity run, a bake sale and sale of handmade crafts created by the students, a raffle for a gift basket, and an awareness campaign.
