Founded in 1962, the École Française Internationale de Berne (EFIB) supports students from preschool through middle school in an international and supportive environment, within a close-knit educational community.

Accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and affiliated with the AEFE, the school is also authorized by the Department of Public Education (DIP) of the Canton of Bern. It offers a structured educational program that fosters the academic, linguistic, and personal development of each student.

EFIB is a nonprofit organization supported by the French Embassy and managed by a committee of volunteer parents who are committed to providing a high-quality, sustainable, and inclusive education.

Throughout the year, the fifth-grade students at EFIB read and studied *Ren the Ninja*, a children’s manga written by Miyuki Tsuji, who is also known for being the official German translator of the *Naruto* volumes. Here is an account of a meeting with Ms. Tsuji.
