Alumni Project

Since 1962, EFIB has supported generations of students in a challenging, supportive, and internationally oriented environment. Today, we are delighted to see our alumni come together as part of a vibrant, engaged community that remains true to the EFIB spirit.

The EFIB Alumni Community is an association run by alumni for alumni. With the support of a network of regional ambassadors, this initiative aims to foster the connections formed at EFIB and encourage networking, mutual support, and collaborative projects around the world.

Why join the EFIB Alumni Network?

  • Stay in touch with your former classmates and teachers.

  • Join events and gatherings for alumni or the school.

  • The alumni network is a vibrant community where everyone can find connections, support, and new opportunities, regardless of their path after EFIB.

What has become of our students?

I joined EFIB in 2023 as a 8th grader. After living in France, Sweden, and Germany, EFIB provided me with a warm and welcoming environment and a smooth transition back to the French language. Thanks to its small size and friendly atmosphere, this school allowed me to reconnect with my roots while continuing my studies in English and German.

After 9th grade, I’ll be attending a high school in Lyon with an international program to earn an International Baccalaureate and fulfill my dream of becoming a veterinarian.

While in Bern, I also discovered rowing and took part in regattas—a passion I plan to continue in France, and maybe even come back to row on the Aare from time to time!

— Juliette R., EFIB student for the 2023–2025 academic year

At 15, I’m leaving this school with a heavy heart, because it has been a part of my life since I was 3, and I have wonderful memories of all those years. I highly recommend EFIB to anyone who loves France, the French language, and the French-speaking world.

I’ve been passionate about sewing since I was 10 years old, and I’d like to make it my career. That’s why I chose the visual arts track in high school, to develop my technical and creative skills.

Although I don’t yet know exactly what career lies ahead for me, I’m ready to let life guide me.

— Salomé M., EFIB student from 2013 to 2025
